Experience
SpiderLily Web Design is a husband-and-wife team with combined experience that includes decades in the computer technology and electrical engineering industry; computer and on-line training; and professional editing and writing; with specialties in horticulture/botanical latin, automotive technology, and culinary arts. We welcome challenges, and can almost always accommodate quick turn-arounds and deadlines. Website design IS our day job, and our goal is to develop long-term relationships with our clients. We'll be here when you need us!
How We Operate
Our goal is always to design to the highest standards (see below). We use Dreamweaver as our basic platform, with Cascading Style Sheets, but do most of our hard coding by hand, incorporating Flash, video, audio, and Javascript and PHP as needed.
Standards
How often have you visited a website and encountered spelling or grammatical errors, a link that doesn't work, or a page that was last updated in 2007 (or earlier)? How does that make you feel about the site, and the business behind the site? We understand the importance of accuracy, of a site that is up to date and easy to navigate. It should never take more than three clicks to get to where you want to be! Our goals include creating a site that downloads quickly, and that meets accepted web standards as set by the World Wide Web Consortium
